i am glad you have done top quality comprehensive write ups,that will save me a lot of one finger typing to talk about my mods,however soon enough i guess i will be reporting in on the re-map,i shall wait until the miltek is on next week..
one thing i can add is that the springs and spacers look a million times better when fitted together, as h&r,s courier did nt deliver my springs on friday i only had the spacers fitted,the car for me now looks like a massy ferguson (tractor) this is amplified more because i spent most of friday looking at two S5 ,s lowered and spacered.i can honhestly say that at the moment i am not enjoying looking at my car knowing that it doesnt look as it could or should..so basically to all out there do the springs and spacers not either or..
the thing that amazed me on friday after the mods had been done was the illusion that the cars bodywork from a front and rear view looked to be wider,the lowering and spacers really made that much of a difference,for me it makes a stock s5 look like a bottom of the range a5 and the modified s5,s look like how i expect an rs 5 to look like...one last thing ,seeing the finished modifications in the flesh is far better than picys..no offence to essfives camera work,he did well to say he was using a disposable camera...

i spoke to aps on monday my h&r springs are in,they took a week to arrive,but aps have informed me the milltek exhaust is not even in at the wholesalers as the usa are mad for them and they have all been shipped there , mid next week before exhaust is in,so that will be about one and half weeks ish..the rest like pedals ,spacers seem to be got quickly..
i think aps do the exhaust, spacers and springs for £1100.00 inc.as a package. my re.map was £400-500,also i had pedals so my bill was £1750.00.
aps are soon to produce some figures and graphs on the re-map and assure me i will get them as they do, i will then post onto here..however although not jawdropingly faster it pulls better in 4th 5th 6th gears and has an instant feel of accelleration at the beggining of each gear when going up thru the box.its definately noticable ,a few times on the way home i thought i was pulling away in 3rd to look down and see i was in 4th....ian might like to view on this as he had a go when it was done although it was a quick go and perhaps not long enough to fully assess it? meanwhile happy modding..

failing that was thinkin of a karting session for the s5 boys and associates at a convienient venue..?? any thoughts

as a rule i tend not comment on things i know little about,despite having a re-map done on my car i dont know to much about it apart from they plug in to the ecu with a laptop and re programme it . thats about it from me,its pulls better in 4th 5th 6th at there abouts 3500rpm and seems more responsive at the beggining of eaach gear as one goes through the box... i think...
at this stage i would like to ask proffessor ian to complete the answer of what a re- map is as i know he does know what technically what one is,cheers ian.
as far as wanting to see the mods in the flesh manchester is a couple of hours from the north east(in an s5 it is) i would be happy to meet you half way one sunday for you to have a look ,just let me know..

ess 5, talking of b-llocks i see you obviously have none as you appear to have evaded the invitation to a track day or a bit if karting,?i guess you wont want to risk damaging any of them pretty badges scattered around your car..as you like add ons to your car, i found some furry dice in my dads loft this weekend,off his old ford cortina,do you want me to send them on to you?
all said, my quattro stickers have come through my letter box yesterday so will be geting them on asap...
p.s ian,my s5 has not been over 3600rpm yet, quite conservative with 4500 miles on the clock. you must be thinking of ess5 when you talk about ragging it around...

i am pencilled in for this friday providing exhaust turns up,cant wait..
problem is the dice were out of my mums car and not my dads,thus they are pink with yellow dots,i will still send them on though ,after meeting you at aps i came away thinkin you was a bit of a fairy anyway...obviously i will want to see some pics posted on the forum of the dice in your car once you get them...
ian assured me he didnt go over 3600 rpm..when he had a go in my car, he commented you kept egging him on to red line it though..got your card marked pal..
www.daytona.co.uk have 3 different tracks around the country ,they do team events to single sprint races, they even do a 24 hour le,mans style race...have a look and perhaps we pick one thats central, i will then get the details, go from there...

it all depends if the audi service manager is yr old raving pal from 1992,what re-map... also if i get any hicups i will be straight back to aps and ask them to remove it which can be done at any time,,dont know wether one could see after that if it had ever had a re map....
any way stop pickin on me with the re-map business,or i will set ess5 onto you with his furry dice...so there.

not a happy camper, milltek have not delivered my exhaust to aps so had to cancel going down on friday,supposed to be this coming week ,late week. it better had be or will cancel,dont like it when folk dont make delivery dates...especially when i have paid up front..
ian have you still got 15mm spacers on the front and any issues??also does the 10mm make yours look any different ess 5?
have any of you guys looked at daytona for karting ,i cant progress without were to race and i am keen to organise as i would relish the opportunity to whoop ess 5 rear end....
