Holy crap !I have the least economical S5 in the world. 2000 Miles and an average of 12.2mpg

Now, now. No need to blow a gasket about petro prices at 12 mpg. With the roads you showed me you should get at least 13 mpg but you will love every minute of it.Holy crap !
Mine is probably getting 12-13 mpg in the cold, doing mainly city driving now short distances/ stops/ starts... - but i can get the previous mileage figures I showed earlier if I am very careful - driving normally, in town, without stop/start too much, I probavly get 16mpg.I have the least economical S5 in the world. 2000 Miles and an average of 12.2mpg

Mine has dropped to just over 14 mpg in the cold weather. The short runs with front and rear heated seats on, heating etc are taking their toll. My long term average has fallen back to under 17 again at 16.7mpg. It was heading towards 20 before the cold spells.
Drat, is that urban or a mixed route?

It's beginning to sound like you're leaning back towards the 3.0 TDi. Stop prevaricating about the bush (to mix my metaphors!) and get that order in!
You've got to decide one way or the other sooner or later - best make it sooner as the waiting time for delivery isn't getting any shorter!
