Does anyone on the forum have and S5 in Alberta? I ordered one in Edmonton 3 weeks ago and I was told that I won't even get an '08 model, mine will be a '09 and it will be at least 12 months. Has anyone ordered one in Calgary? Any idea on the wait?

My dad put a deposit down on one middle of Jan at Southgate and was told at least 12 months back then. Even the A5's had like a 9 month wait (although I got lucky and am supposed to get mine end of April). We were told Southgate would get 13 A5's and S5's combined for the whole year and he already had 5 A5 orders and a lot more S5 orders and was expecting a ton more after the auto show.

He also mentioned that there was one S5 already in the city as of Jan. I think I met him and saw his car at the auto show except he had ontario plates on it.

I'm picking up my A5 at Glenmore Audi in Calgary on Wednesday. There is another A5, and an S5 there now ready for delivery. I'm not sure how many S5's, if any, they have delivered before now, but I can ask.

A friend of mine just cancelled his S5 order, as he ordered in December, it still had not been allocated, and they told him it would be at least fall before he got it.

Wow... that's all I can say. I sure hope that something changes and they start getting some more of these cars into the country. In the meantime I will just try not to think about it I guess... If that's even possible.

Thanks! I ordered in mid-September. It's been a pretty long wait, but at least I knew all along the status of the car. and now spring is just around the corner...

If you're planning for a spring delivery, you should definitely be leaving a deposit now. In Edmonton, there is still a looooong wait for the S5.

Are the manufactures selling it for MSRP? I know with the GTR I have heard a few stories from freinds who put down a deposit a year ago and then been told the dealer wants 120K just recently.

That would suck to put down a deposit and commit only to find out they want an extra 10 or 20K over the MSRP.

I paid MSRP for mine. I would expect that to remain the case as long as they remain scarce.

That's a looong wait. They still seem to be pretty scarce-I saw my first "in the wild" S5 last weekend in Calgary. I still think the wait will be worth it!

If you are in Alberta call up Kulu at www.kulumotorcar.com. He found an S5 for me out of the US in about 1 week and had it up here in 4 weeks. Couldn't have been easier and I got the exact car I wanted. Tell him Ryan sent you

It's finally coming!

So one year and three weeks later, they have called me.... My car is to be built in week 15. Decided to go with the Deep Sea Blue S5 with black interior!

Congratulations. Nice colour choice ! I have seen 3 S5's round here.

1 Meteor Grey at the dealer last winter ,
2 a black one in Glenora,
3 a black one at the Audi body shop yesterday.

besides mine ( black S-line ) I have spotted another 2 A5's.........Grey and Black.

I've spotted a black A5 (you maybe?) a couple times in the downtown area. And I passed by a grey one last week that I thought was a S5 but I didn't get a good look at it. Besides that, haven't seen much at all!
