So today my mate fitted my cts test pipes (decats). We followed instructions from videos watched on the tube with using long bars on the rachet, lowering the gearbox and ratcheting the gearbox off to the side to get the driver's side (right hand) cat out however we did not lower the subframe as 1 bolt would not budge. It took 6 hours in total using a ramp and this was the first time he's ever attempted this job.

Now my not so good bit. Once we removed the first cat we found out that there was actually nothing in it as all the internals I'm guessing have broken away and made they're escape. This was the case for both catalytic converters. We continued to fit the cts decats and I'm glad I did as the difference in noise is amazing.

Nice! Is this for a V6 or V8?

Are you sure it hasn't been decatted before? Bit unusual for the cat ceramics/internals to totally disappear!? Break and rattle, or some early V6 cats could melt a little, but not up and leave without trace, unless someone gave them a helping hand with a hammer and chisel or these CAT thieves are getting very, very good! :)
