Hello Everyone.

I hope someone can help.

The front proximity sensors on my RS5 do work when Im driving up to something.like a wall and stop but when I get back into the car and start it up they go off letting me know the wall is there.....just as well my eyes work 🤣🤣🤣

Does anyone have any ideas?? It would be a great help.

Thanks

It will always tell you something is closer just so you know. It's not a fault.

If I park my car at Tesco very close to a hedge and the alarms are going off. When I finish my shop and restart the car it continues the chime so I'm aware its still there.

Can't be turned off unless you turn it off manually but even then that get reset everytike the engine it turned off and on again.

It's a safety feature at the end of the day.

Hi Alex, thanks for getting back to me. I understand what you are saying but mine do not work at all when driving upto something only when I get back and start the car do they tell me something is there.
Ohhhhh I get you now, then you might need to scan the car with a dedicated car fault reader like OBDELEVEN or Rosstech

Thanks Alex, I will look at getting something to plug in but have not quite decided what as there is a lot of ODIS and VAG stuff flying around on the web.

Cheers
Hi i notice you have twwo electrical issues. Have you checked your battery, a failing or poor charge battery can cause some strange issues ans the systems are shut off to save power.
Hi Nigelbat, thank you and its good thinking but the electrics on the seat work so I can adjust the seat with the buttons and sliders on the side of the seat.

I have also opened the green screen on the MMI and added the battery level to the normal screen and that tells me all is well.

But I will get a battery tester to add to my tool box, well only if they do more that a voltage meter....Ill have a read up.
Thanks again.
I dont have battery level in my green screen, but from what i have read on here its not a reliable source of info re the battery condition. Good luck.
