Remaps

I’m thinking of having my S5 2017 remapped but not sure who or where I should go to. How much extra horsepower should I expect. Also is it worth tampering with it?

Take it to MRC in Banbury... for around £1500 I think you’ll leave with 450 bhp .... 60 in or just under 4 secs.....

Depending on where you live can be a deciding factor on who you choose to remap your car.
I believe you have the 3.0 ltr turbo on your car and Mrc have been doing some work on these engines.
A stage one remap should cost you around £750 and expect over 400bhp.
Yes it is always worth having a car remapped in my opinion.

More power, more performance, more enjoyment

The Turbo V6 is getting around 440bhp now with just a remap, possibly intake and exhaust may increase this slightly.

Whereabouts are you?

Apologies, I never realised so much power could be gained from just a stage 1 .
Some good deals to be had on 2018/19 S5's at the moment.

Hi there I’m in Shropshire so not sure which is more local and respectable👍🏼

I’m living in shropshire
That's quite nicely central! :)

Depending whether you are north or south Shropshire you have the choice of MRC in Banbury or I have used More-BHP in Crewe with 3 past and present vehicles.

Both MRC and More-bhp have 4WD rolling roads and will give before and after figures.

MRC are more expensive, but they are more specialized to Audi products. MRC also appear to get the best gains as they are a tuning company, whereas More-BHP are just remaps with a workshop to fit parts or do DPF deletes etc

I have been happy with my maps from there, although I am thinking of seeing if I can get the map tweaked on my S5 as unfortunately I had intake overheat due to an incompetent technician working on my car for a recall, so the engine wasn't in ideal condition and also flagged supercharger coolant pump running dry which was part of the issue, so the mapper couldn't fine tune the boost as the intake temps kept knocking it back. Still goes like stink though, just feel there maybe the possibility of a bit more to get out of it. :)

Hey, I'm also in Berkshire and a day trip to Banbury to get MRC to remap the engine and gearbox would be my recommendation. Just be careful on the drive home as the difference is huge and you'll be very tempted to feel the difference and grin from ear to ear all the way home.
