Took my Jan 08 registered S5 to the dealers yesterday to have a minor problem sorted with the rear seat. When i got there they informed me that as well of the requested work the car had 3 outstanding recalls! all software related.

I'd told them i'd wait for the work to be done but after an our one of the guys camre out and said it was going to take ages to do the software and i'd have to bring the car back. Just one of the ?updates? was going to tke about 2 1/2 hours to upload!! windows vista doesn't take that long!

Andybody know what they are updating and why i have three that need doing?

For my S5 (sept 2008) there were 5 sw updates. LAst one was done yesterday: the energy management has errors, so it looks like your battery level is low, but in fact, all is ok! After the sw upgrade, all is ok now.
