I currently own a G37 Coupe and want to trade in for a A5. I don't use all the 330 hp and I like some features like the indicators and the one touch parking brake. Coupla questions for Canadian owners:

a) Is their a trunk pass through (for long objects without folding the rear seats) on the A5 and is that standard?.

b)Is the cruise control adaptive i.e keeps distance from other cars automatically?

c) When using the navigation and audio at the same time, will the audio automatically mute or pause when instructions are about to be read like in a BMW?

d) How would you rank the DVD- sat nav over all?

Thanking You,

Thanking You,
First you should know that no A5's have been delivered in Canada yet, some answers are a bit speculative. People with S5's may answer questions like c) and d), and the Nav system probably the same. As for the other questions:

a) No pass-through available on A5's. Rear seat folds.
b) Cruise control is not adaptive.

I hope that's at least somewhat helpful.

I know that adaptive cruse control is available as an option in some countries... but I am not sure that it is in Canada.

Not canadian but I thought a few answers from me might help.

a) Is their a trunk pass through (for long objects without folding the rear seats) on the A5 and is that standard?.
Is the pass through the ski hatch, if so yes it does on UK model and i'm sure something like that would be on all models or is this an S5 feature?

b)Is the cruise control adaptive i.e keeps distance from other cars automatically?
Already answered below.

c) When using the navigation and audio at the same time, will the audio automatically mute or pause when instructions are about to be read like in a BMW?
When your playing music and using the sat nav, when the driver is instructed to make a turn etc then the music lowers and you can hear the nav speak. You can set the volume for all this through the MMI.

d) How would you rank the DVD- sat nav over all?
Overall brilliant, I travel a lot to places i've never been before so the sat nav has taken care of me in all situations. Except for once when I followed it through a toll tunnel only to be directed back through the toll tunnel again once on I got to the other side.

Just to clarify:

The pass-through and the ski hatch are the same thing. In Canada, it is only available on the S5, not the A5. I don't know why, but that's what the guide says.

Adaptive cruise control is not listed, either standard or as an option, for A5's.

Thanks for the info about the DVD-Nav. I would assume that it would function the same way on Canadian models.

Thanks for the info guys. About the ski Pass- funny, for a country that is known for its cold climate and freezing temperatureS, and they don't install a ski pass!. Ditto on the G37!.
