So I got my bcm 2.0 replaced (at a mechanic) and now i have the error code for the rear left light and rear right light. I tried to remove the fault code through vcds, but it doesn't vanish.

I don't want to bring it back there cause i'm sure they're gonna bill me again for that. I have access to VCDS, so if anyone can help, please help. Thanks

Hi, When the BCM was replaced, did the mechanic recode the new unit to exactly match the old one, including any adaptation channels?

the bcm was replaced i think yesterday or maybe last week. i think he did recode it exactly matching the old one. but he said it may be that the bcm was from a pre facelift and it can't properly read the voltage of the lights cause mine's facelift. it was replaced because i needed it for the spoiler to work.

FIXED. I put the codes from this thread (Looking for standart VCDS codes for tail lights A5 2015) and it worked. But now my indicators don't flash when i lock the car. They only flash when i unlock it.

Nvm, the hood was open and that's why the indicators didn't flash when i locked the car. I was charging the battery while doing stuff on VCDS. 😅
