Hi all. I removed the drivers side headlight today so I can change the HID bulb ad mine failed. (Passenger side was fine to access/replace without removing the headlight. Note RHD vehicle)

though i am now paranoid that I haven’t reseated the headlight correctly, naturally the drivers side should be slightly dipped to respect oncoming traffic, but how can I know if the headlight is in as it should be?

The usual would be to turn the light on facing a wall and look at the beam shape. Or perhaps an MOT testing centre could have a look - I'm not sure what they do in the UK for testing but there are lensed devices that wheel-up to the lights and test them.

I still can’t seem to get it right. Not sure if I’m just being super paranoid and noticing something which is not there but the gap from the bottom of the headlight to the bumper looks and feels larger
