I remember some OEM players in the car will not play or not display foreign music titles... Can someone answer how resilient the playback is when using the iPod interface or memory card slot? I play some Japanese and Korean music, and wondering how the song titles might display.

Titles will not show up properly. You'll see strings of symbols and letters that don't make sense, just like how you see it if your PC doesn't have the language pack installed. MP3 CD won't show and iPod thru AMI won't show either.

I really hope they come out with some sort of language pack so the song titles/artist info can show up properly when I play Chinese music.

I play my songs with Norwegian characters without any problems. I have the MMI 3G... chars like Æ, Ø and Å.

Yea, the double-byte characters in Asian languages do not show up properly.

I have the 2G so...it makes it even worse that i missed it for a couple of weeks...
