Hello,

I've seen pics of the backseat where there's a center console, and pics without a center console so you can fit 3 people in an emergency.

I'm awaiting delivery on a 09 2.0TSFI, what will my backseat look like?

The center console is in all S5s and U.S. A5s.

So, if you are in Europe as the engine suggests, you will not have a center console in the backseat. (Although there may be more market to market variances internationally, it is difficult to say for sure since these things are usually in a flux...)

There won't be three safety belts back there, though.

I have squeezed 3 adults in the back before a couple of times for short journeys. Not very comfortable by all accounts and, as loc says, there is no seatbelt in the centre, so also illegal ( in the UK at least ).

It is absolutely 100% illegal to put 3 in the back of any car with only 2 belts, so my PC tells me. Car could get crushed if caught??!!! ;-)

I think its more comfortable to sit in the back without that center console breaking up the back "love seat"

Here, the cops don't care if you have 2 or 3 people in the back. And its nice to be able to put 3 in the back for emergencies.

Lol, no it won't get crushed. No seatbelt is normally a £30 fine. But yea, it is illegal to have 3 passengers in the back.

Most traffic cops wont know that the a5/s5 only meant to carry two in the back. But if you crash it's g'night folks.
