Q5 bumper on Audi A5 B8?

Hello guys,

I am new to this forum and I am coming with a curiosity, saw this car on a facebook group and I was wondering if anyone knows some details about how this is possible.

It seem like it has a q5 fitted front bumper on it and I would be curious how, and what are the things you have to do to be able to retrofit this on an a5, and if any of you went through this process.

It's not a Q5, it's a custom bonding between a A5 SE upper, and a S-line Q3 lower half.

AFAIK there's only 3 made, but you could replicate it. One belongs to that_teal_a5, another in the states, and I believe the one in your picture there is currently sat in my shed.

Huh seems I was wrong as your picture is from Romania. Maybe there's more out there than I thought

They look great in my opinion, but there are a few caveats.

While they actually do fit on pretty much perfectly 1-1, due to allowing space for the fog lights to line up, the bumper is 'lower' than the factory one. It hangs about an inch or two lower than original, so can be a bit tight if your car is otherwise lowered too. This also means from certain angles the mismatch in the drop of the side skirts can look odd against the lower bumper.

I'll be taking mine to a body shop in the near future to see if they can figure out a way to even it out.
