New to the forum and potential A5 owner

I am looking at purchasing a 2012 A5 SE 2.0 TFSi 210 with 152000 miles on the clock priced at £4000

The owner reckons it has full service history

The price is affordable but the mileage scares me

The car is very clean with most of the spec I need, the only omission is the B&O sound system

This would be my first Audi having owned several other German diesel cars

What are the communities thought on purchasing?

Any advice gratefully received

Forgot to add, it has an intermittent oil level sensor fault

Not sure about the price, but there is a well known oil consumption issue in the A5 TFSI engine where the engine burns a lot of oil. A revised engine was issued to fix this in 2012.

Based on the MY date, your car may or may not have the fix. Audi were in some cases fixing these engines on their own dollar if the owner took the oil consumption test and had a full audi service history. But that was a while back and I wouldn't rely on this. You could ask the owner. Or ask for the VIN and ring audi to ask them.

Personally, I would look for another car. Its easier than dealing with the unknown.

AVOID!!!!! That engine gave so much grief to so many people. Read more on here and find another car.
