Hi all,

I scanned my S5 with a carly adapter and saw the following error code highlighted which has worried me a bit. EDIT: There was no engine light on just came up in a scan,

P157300 Error code - left electro-hydraulic engine mount solenoid valve -N144- Open circuit

I did a bit of googling, but not sure I found anything super useful to help me understand exactly what the problem is, or how to identify if it something I need to do anything about. A few posts suggested things should be visible, but as an engine bay n00b, I have no idea where I should be looking or what I should be looking for.

I cleared the code and it hasn't come back in 2-3 days, so maybe this is a sporadic issue? or an old issue?

I've got another 2 months on warranty, so wondering if I should be taking it back in for a once over?

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

I did some reading and people are suggesting the symptoms might be a lot of vibrations, running rough etc.

If I'm not seeing that, would it perhaps point to the connection over the mount?

I'm in the garage on the 23rd so will ask them to take a look, if the mount does need replacing is it a big job? Seen some mixed things about needing the engine out etc :s

I've not got any further with it, but have had it come back. Interestingly it came back after a hit a big pothole and at the same time the brake pad wear indicator came on the dash.

I mentioned the brake pad light to the garage who checked the pads and said there's plenty of life left. I suspect it might be something shorting when the suspension is compressed maybe. Aren't seeing any other symptoms apart from sporadic vcds codes. Let me know if you make any other progress!
