Hi all,

I scanned my S5 with a carly adapter and saw the following error code highlighted which has worried me a bit. EDIT: There was no engine light on just came up in a scan,

P157300 Error code - left electro-hydraulic engine mount solenoid valve -N144- Open circuit

I did a bit of googling, but not sure I found anything super useful to help me understand exactly what the problem is, or how to identify if it something I need to do anything about. A few posts suggested things should be visible, but as an engine bay n00b, I have no idea where I should be looking or what I should be looking for.

I cleared the code and it hasn't come back in 2-3 days, so maybe this is a sporadic issue? or an old issue?

I've got another 2 months on warranty, so wondering if I should be taking it back in for a once over?

Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Someone needs to check that the connector has not become loose. If its OK then likely the engine mount will need to be replaced - unfortunately this is a "known issue" for these cars.
I did some reading and people are suggesting the symptoms might be a lot of vibrations, running rough etc.

If I'm not seeing that, would it perhaps point to the connection over the mount?

I'm in the garage on the 23rd so will ask them to take a look, if the mount does need replacing is it a big job? Seen some mixed things about needing the engine out etc :s
How did you get on with this one? I have got the same code coming up with a random VCDS scan (no CEL on the dashboard or mad vibrations, I just scan the car randomly).
I've not got any further with it, but have had it come back. Interestingly it came back after a hit a big pothole and at the same time the brake pad wear indicator came on the dash.

I mentioned the brake pad light to the garage who checked the pads and said there's plenty of life left. I suspect it might be something shorting when the suspension is compressed maybe. Aren't seeing any other symptoms apart from sporadic vcds codes. Let me know if you make any other progress!
That's good. I've got 90k miles on the clock, so I imagine the rubber has gone through or at least is on its way. Only 1 instance of it, so will keep scanning from time to time. Hopefully it's similar to yours in terms of random shorting.
Hello guys.
Any solution on that issue?
I got Audi A7 2013 3.0 tdi quattro
Had no engine codes at all but after driving on rough country road I caught few pot holes and fault P157300 came on. It's static fault and if I erase it comes back instantly.
No engine light on dash thought.
Obdeleven states that this is open circuit so I believe some connection became loose or damaged.
Any suggestions where to start looking?

I’ve been dealing with a crunching sound whenever I back out of driveway or hit a bump. Brought my car to Audi. 1st they replaced the upper bushings since they were cracked. Drove car for 2 weeks & brought it back for same issue. This time my lower bushings were cracked. 3 weeks later brought it back. Just got it back today. They replaced both front electro hydraulic motor mounts. Now my car drives great… hopefully.
Sometimes these mounts will leak fluid, visible from underneath with undertray removed. Just get them inspected for leaks and check connectors.
