Almost no formal documentation exists (that I can find) for the Harman/Becker MMI3G system. Given that our MMI3G/3GP systems are QNX 6.3.2, I find this reference sufficient when something differs from Linux/Unix: QNX Neutrino Operating System
A working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems is helpful here, too. --g

I've used this to extract the efs-system.efs file from HNav & HN+ updates releases directly:

Extracting ifs-root.ifs is another story. dumpifs works properly for HNav (MMI3G) releases, but not for HN+ (HN+) releases. Still trying to solve that one ... --g
