Thought I'd post incase anyone else has this issue.My rear number plate lights and boot latch stopped working.But my boot still opened on the key and drivers door button.Tested the plugs for number plate lights and had 12v power but no earth so borrowed earth from working rear light and it all worked as it should.Traced the wires back to the right side of boot and behind the boot hinge were the wires take a sharp turn and the brown earth wire was broken.If this happens to anyone else look in the same place first as it will save you removing trim and the cloth tape protecting the wiring loom needlessly in other places. I'm going yo crimp it with a self soldering heat crimp and replace the cloth tape with spiral cable protector.

Been having the same issue and was told it was something like a comfort control module, however reviews say different. Where exactly did you find your fault please.

Sorry for late response been working away its on the right hand side of the boot driver's side there is a panel that comes off. My wire was broken near where the boot hinge is, feel you're way up the wiring harness and where it takes a tight turn .I'll try and add some pictures.

I’d start at the right hand side as mentioned.
