Greetings All,

I'm looking at a 2009 A5 s line coupe that has the 6 disk changer in it.
My wifes 2010 S5 has the single disk and 2 SD card slot setup.

Q: Does the A5 have a place to plug in SD cards or a USB stick that I just did not see?
Or if it does not, can I steal the setup out of my wife's car and do a swap?

You may find (depending upon spec) that it has an AMI connector in the glove box. With the appropriate lead you can connect USB / SD (with USB adaptor) / iPod.
You can't just swap MMI heads between cars easily, it would require other modules, cabling and coding on both cars.

Thanks Dan,

If the AMI connector does not exist, would it be correct to assume the cabling to install it is available from Audi or in the aftermarket?
If so, is it just cabling or another device with cables that would need coding as well.

I appreciate the input.

You will be able to get the cabling from aftermarket sources, many have done so. I imagine (haven't done it myself) that an additional AMI module and coding are required. There are specialists that can do this work for you including supplying the parts, Audi Retrofits and Hazzydayz being two.
