Hi all, just picked up a 2017 A5, 2 litre TFSI Quattro coupe this week and found the forum, so thought I’d say hello. I’m based on West Coast of Scotland.

So far, I’ve fixed a problem with the left passenger window opening a few inches on unlock, which I found the solution for on here, which prompted me to sign up.

Next on my list to sort is the Soundaktor system. Not noticing any difference in sound between driving modes and wondering if the soundaktor is actually working? I have the controller which is plugged in with wires running somewhere, and have checked the fuse which is all good, but I can’t for the life of me locate the body mounted actuator despite a few days of looking. 😂 If anyone knows the exact location, I’d appreciate a nudge in the right direction.

Other than that, I’m delighted with the car, it’s incredible smooth, has bags of power and I think it looks incredible.

Attached a couple of pics of my new machine!

Love the car but the soundaktor id personally find annoying haha 😂

The mechanical device is found between the firewall between the engine and the passenger compartment. It reverberates the “engine intake” sound from there.

Thanks Alex! I’m certain it will annoy me too, but I’m keen to see if it’s wired in or has been disconnected. I’ve had a good search through that area and can’t see it. I’ve found the controller unit under the flap below the windscreen. Perhaps it has been removed already. If I can find out exactly where’s meant to be I’ll be able to check.
Thanks for the reply!

Thanks Alex, so I’ve found this and the cables but it’s the unit that this goes to that I can’t find.

This is the unit I’m looking for:
