I have a 2010 Audi A5 2.0T which has been rebuilt since the valves and pistons got to meet each other. But after the rebuild I’ve had a problem where the battery won’t charge and I can’t figure out why. The Alternator is new and so is the battery. I’m thinking it’s the battery cable or the alternator cable going to the charge block.

Has anyone else had this problem or seen one like this I’m really lost and don’t want to keep throwing parts at it.

If you're trying to do this yourself, you should have a proper VAG diagnostic tool like Ross Tech VCDS or OBDeleven. Scan for fault codes and report them here. Both tools also show live data about the operating conditions of the charging system. --g
