...when I boot it in 2nd gear, the rear wheels spin and it goes a bit sideways.

Went for a drive last night as not been out for 'drive' for a while, but the cold temps, salt etc makes the roads a bit slippy! Winter tyres with 480bhp and 545Nm = a bit of squirming around.

It doesn't just let go, it nicely starts to break traction so you can correct easily.

Found some V power as my local Shell only had standard unleaded the other day, everything else was out of action!

Dave mate as you well know winter tyres are far softer than summer tyres so they will almost always hold on when your summer tyres will break traction!!! They also wear out more quickly...
