My A5 S Line is cmg, what should I do or add?

Is there any must do's or add ons that I should put in the engine etc to make it sportier or slicker.

Thanks

Hey Real GSA,

My A5 2.0T FSI (211ps) S-line Phantom black is on its way 2 , cant wait!:):)

I already ordered an S5 grill, and as soon at it comes going to chrome the mirrors, tint the windows, install wheel spacers (either 15mm or 20mm), and maybe later in the future drop it aobut an inch or so!

Also, going to set up a rear muffler system with quad exhaust tips from ABT
Those are my modifications, what do you think?

Its so hard waiting for it when I see A5's driving by all the time ...
Is the S5 Grill much different than the S line grill?

Definitely!!!

The S-line grill comes in gloss black with horizontal bars, while the S5 grille comes in chomre/grey, with chromed out vertical bars.

Offcourse I will paint the grey horizontal lines black on the S5 grille so just the chrome vertical lines are showing ....

What do you think?

Oh I see, the both look good, but the silver is better.

Where are you getting the chrome for the mirrors from, internet? and how much
Are the easy to fit?

And also the wheel spacer?

thanks
Lowering a spacers are a must in my opinion.

H&R springs (25mm) - cheapest
K&W Coilovers v1's
15mm spacers all around

Shoot an email off to ed at autops.co.uk

He'll give you the low down on prices and fitting.
Im actually not getting the chrome mirrors from the internet, Im jsut going to paint the already exisitng ones chrome, I used to have an A6 S -line, and I bought S6 mirrors chrome, and It costs me $1,000....worse purchase ever when you can just chrome them for like 50 dollars...if you decide to purchase S5 mirrors, they are very easy to instal, you can instal them in 10 min tops!

Im definitely going to set up wheel spacers, H&R track are really good! I used them on my old A6. They costs me about $250 for all 4 wheels with bolts.
I dont know if I should go for 15mm or 20mm.

Robb you think I should go for 15mm all around? Whys that?
On my old A6, I had 20mm all around, and it made my car look that much sportier and beefy...I dont know, maybe on an A5 they would look too big , what do you think?
Any pics?
sorry guys...not really clued up on such things....what do the wheel spacers do...15mm and 20mm

I think I would buy some Audi OEM 19in or 20in wheels (Y spokes are nice) to fill out the wheel arches properly and buy some badges so folks don't think it's a 1.8 you are driving.:cheers:

Or have it de-badged so people think it IS a 1.8.

I have the 3.0TDi debadged and I have great fun with those 'have-a-go-guys' who think it's less powerfull than it is. :D

Problem is that I tend to encounter most of said 'have-a-go-guys' when I'm in the 1.8.

He's having it de-badged I think! (see the signature)

Agree with your comments about the 'have a go guys' but really most of the time it's pretty evident what's under the bonnet IMHO.

:moped:50cc!
Since you asked, the first thing you should do would be larger rims and tires, you will need that for the turbo kit. You will probably want a nice single turbo, around 57mm would be good. Shouldn't be too much lag. You will also want to upgrade your fuel system (larger injectors and a better fuel pump). I wouldn't recommend going over 6psi, unless you want to pull your motor and forge the bottom end and install some dished pistons (to lower the compression ration a bit). While the motor is out you could bore the motor out a bit and increase the stroke which would increase your displacement a some, probably to around 3.5L. I would also consider some good MLS gaskets. Studding the heads will also help ensure you don't blow any gaskets.

You will want a good dyno tune, preferably on one that loads the car, like a Mustang dyno. I would probably stick to an AFR around 11.5. You will want to get some good pillar mounted gauges to keep an eye on your fuel pressure and AFR ratio. Also a good exhaust system will help make a bit more power.

I would leave the exterior of the car alone, kind of go with the sleeper look for the 400hp beast that lies under the hood.

That would be a good start. I'll let you know if I think of anything else.
