Despite having had several recent audis that had the basic voice command functions, I have never used the functionality - and have never tried to understand it.

Considering the basic version that is standard with the full sat-nav mmi (non optional full voice command), who uses it here? What do you use it for? What are the commands? What are the most common and simple to use commands, and the least useful ones?

Thanks.

It tells you in your MMI handbook what all the commands are.

I've actually got the voice control system, but it's only working for the phone, and not for the CD controls or the radio.

Going to give the dealer a call just now and see what the deal is with this, as it really isn't understanding any simple commands such as "RADIO".

voice control for the phone is standard for anyone who has the phone option.

to have full voice control is a separate optional extra. very useful. must just be a software thing. you guys without it should investigate as it is very useful on Nav, to change tracks etc.

Nav mode.
'enter town' then spell town when prompted and it will continue till naviagtion begins.

Media mode:
'select cd...' then 'select track...'

Phone:
you can save voice tags
or say 'dial number' then just continue
