I will try that today, I did not think that you needed an application to run carplay, according to all documentation, you just plug in your iPhone, and it worked previously without an app, but can't hurt to try. Just somehow, the icon on the car's screen/menu disappeared, I suspect it happened after my last service, I just did not notice.

Hi, I am new to the forum; however, the dealership has been no help whatsoever. Also, I have an A4, but you guys at this forum seem to be much more helpful than anywhere else.
It is a 2018 A4, and the "Audi Smartphone" option has disappeared from my menu; therefore CarPlay no longer works.
