Hi there. I'm a long time reader, first time poster. I'm after some help Recently I made a conversion from us to eu (3gp), everyting works fine except jukebox. As soon as I press media button it shows message "loading media or device, please wait" and nothing happens, jukebox won't load at all. Ive tried to factory reset, tried reflash, but nothing helps at all. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong, and how to fix it?

Have you tried unplugging and replugging he power to your amp behind the left rear wheel?

The only time I had that issue is when I had an iPhone with no media plugged in to the mmi in glove box and it was stock perpetually searching with same message as yours

I've no aux at all, just jukebox, dvd, and sd cards. I'll try to repartition it, just waiting for usb to ide dongle. Thanks for your reply

The problem was a damaged hard drive. One day I just noticed in green menu, in dtc section an error "2 hdd failure" (can't recall exact fault desription), which never appeared in vcds. Replaced hdd, and jukebox is now running.

What other setting up was required after fitting a new hdd?

Always feared not having a backup would be a disaster.

Not much really. Just did a clone 1:1, I reckon mmi didn't even notice the new hdd

I've had an ide to m2sata caddy replacement drive I've been gonna clone mine onto for ages, but on the A8 it seems a big job to get the 3gp unit out, might have a go once the weather picks up.

Did you mean a8 d4? It shouldn't be a big job to get the head unit out. Two radio keys should be enough.

The key slots aren't visible, I think the glovebox and under wheel trim have to be removed first to expose the trim that covers the slots.
