2020 maps version 6.30.1 - PLEASE NOTE - this package is ONLY suitable for 3G and not 3G+/3GP so if your firmware version doesn't match the style indicated in the instructions do not bother downloading this file, as it's been cut down to make the download smaller and so it'll fit on a 32GB SD card without issues.

26.99 GB folder on MEGA

The link above includes an activator file, but if you've successfully updated in the last couple of years you shouldn't need it. Note that the activator needs to go on a seperate SD card, and shouldn't be copied with the map files.

For facelift cars with 3G+/3GP see other thread for correct links - don't muddle them up as it doesn't go well.....

Update instruction guide below - this one is a better layout than the one I produced a couple of years ago, and covers firmware updating etc

MEGA

PLEASE NOTE - THESE ARE FOR EUROPE, NOT ROW OR NA and I cannot help with questions about where to find them.

I did not need to re-activate, having done so for 2018 maps. I did still get the SVM error in VCDS, which doesn't stop it working if you leave it/don't have VCDS.

I recommend using JDownloader to grab the links and WinRAR for extracting the archives when finished downloading. If you hit the download limit from Mega and don't want to pay for premium downloads I can recommend using the Opera browser, which has a built in VPN tool so all you need to do is switch location and it will allow you to continue downloading. You do lose the option to use JDownloader if you go that route.

These files are from a variety of sources, so credit due to all those who compile and make available :grin2:

If you don't have up to date firmware, links in the thread below:

Hi could you upload this file to an other file sharing service?
As ever, thanks so much to everyone who helped make this possible,

Downloading as we speak, as mentioned above is there an easier alt to mega upload? It does seem a bit of a convoluted process with them.

Thanks again though.
I've added a torrent magnet link - see if that works - I've uploaded to Mega as it's straightforward to use to upload large files, and it didn't seem to cause any issues in previous years. Most of the free hosting sites require you to break the files into 200MB packages, and then limits what you can download at any one time. Using JDownloader just means with one large file, if for any reason it drops the connection, you don't have to start from scratch.

If you use the magnet link, please seed it, as it's going to be painfully slow otherwise!

Hi Adrian,

That's perfect. I've tried on Mega but downloading isa bit of a minefield.

Thanks for the magnet link seems to be working, just waiting for it to download metadata which is probably due to it not being up long.

I'll report back when it completes and I'll upload as well.
I've had to change the torrent link, as the files were accidentally deleted. Have made it public as well, so should be easier to seed.

Hi Adrian,

Yep now saarting to DL I will seed to 100%
Hi, I have a MMI 3G HDD based (HNav) with updated firmware (0257_6) and map 6.30.1 loaded, I have downloaded the "3GH Activator" but I am not able to run the activator with the following procedure:

_Format your SD in FAT32.
_Transfer activator files to the SD card root
_Start the car and wait until MMI is fully loaded (usually 5-10 minutes)
_Insert the SD card into the first MMI slot.
_A screen will appear...

For me no screen appears, did I missed something?

I usually activates the maps (at least for 2016 and 2017 versions) with metafile activators by using the "Engineering Menu" refer to page 18 (Activating the map: 3G Basic and 3G High) of the Update instructions v1.6. I could not find such activator for the map 6.30.1 (2020).

If someone successfully activated the map 6.30.1 on a MMI 3G HDD based (HNav) please share.

Nevermind, I managed to solve my issue by using a different SD card.
Do you have or can share the ISO only for the West 2020 maps please?

I downloaded the magnet files, which is the extension for the 19 GB file?
Seems stuck at 70% at the moment.
I've had some issues getting a torrent file to work with the source file, which is on my server. It's been reliant on my PC being on and torrent software not crashing on it. Hopefully now resolved, and a new magnet file in the attachment in post #1

Doesn't work like that for 3G maps - it's the whole thing, or nothing. Might be mixing it up with 3G Basic?

It's a WinRAR archive file, so open with WinRAR or Zip if you prefer.

Thank you for the feedback, yes I'm indeed looking for the 3G Basic. I tried to put a extension like .zip/.7zip/.rar and it gives an error opening.

Are you talking about the link in the attachment? In which case, those are magnet links, so you need to copy the last one and paste it into a torrent client to start the download

I tried to open the file without success, tried with 7zip and changed the extension, which is missing, to other ones.

I'm confused about what you're confused about?! If it's the magnet links, you literally copy and paste the whole line into a torrent app, and it will add the link to download the file.

If you want 3G Basic maps, this thread isn't going to be any help to you anyway......

Okay maybe I need to be more specific, I download those files, torrents, twice, and the old and the new file seem to be corrupted since I cannot add any extension to the file or open directly like it is with 7Zip.
