Im clueless at this where do you find the 942 version?

These maps are possible install on a RNS850 P0824 with South Africa maps??Yes,

Install the map, use the activator from very first post and then use the fix provided here.

Hello All,
I found the forum from the google by looking for updating mmi firmware. first of all I want to thank the creator of the forum and the users who is supporting. am looking for a advise or tips for updating my Audi A4 2013 model
I checked and I believe this is still running the MMI firmware and maps from then as well.
The MMI version information:
Media version: HN+_EU_AU3G_P0662
Nav. database version:
8R0060884BC ECE 6.16.3
I will be very helpful if anyone can advise me which version I need to use to upgrade to latest version of firmware and the maps?..

Hi is this for HNAV MMI 3G
You're running MMI version P0662; in post #1, you'll see the lastest [and final] version for your vehicle is K0942. If you have a Bose or B&O amp, you might like to consider downloading the 'Modified Firmware' version as it has been suggested these amps may be affected [needing a dealer intervention] if they are updated.
You're running the 2013/2014 version of the ECE [European] maps. The 6.33.1 maps would be my suggestion; the 6.34.1 maps are unavailable and there are potential issues with the 6.35.1 maps.

Sorry to disturb you again with more question, as you had mention I can use K0942 version for my Audi A4 and need to consider for using Modified Firmware? is there any different in both version ? or can I stick with • HN+_EU_AU3G_K_0900 - Stock firmware ? without affection my amp. I don't know if it Bose or B&O soundsystem I have

How to user 64GB SD card [Link on Mega]
These are the required files and folders for Map 6.33.1 with 32GB SD card. Thanks to @JulianHicks for creating the lists.
See "3GP_Filelist.txt" (3GP) and "3GH_Filelist.txt" (3G High) attachments in this post.
You might need GEM (Green engineering menu) activated and use User Defined Mode and manually select all that is under AUDI_MMI3G_ECE if it's not selected.
Warning - FW update K0900 is removing the "Emergency Update" option from the "Green Menu". There is a way that this can be fixed.
• Emergency menu activation on K0900 firmware. [ Only for A5OC ]
• To enable the Green Menu you could use VCDS, VAS or the following script [ Green menu activation ]
• 03623 [ 03623 Remove ]
- Unzip it on the SD card.
- Put the sd card in the MMI.
- When prompted press the center knob.
- After the script is done you will see confirmation screen.
- Remove the SD card and reboot MMI
Do not use MAC to unpack and/or copy the files to the SD card.
Q&A section
Here are some of the questions raised by the forum members about the update process that I might failed to explain in the manual.
Q. Do i need VCDS to do the update?
A. No, you need VCDS only to clear some errors after the update but the MMI will function correctly even if you don’t clear them out.
Q. I have a Bang & Olufsen sound system not a Bose. Does this also mean that i need to exclude it?
A. Yes, better not to update the DSP system.
Q. Currently no updates for North America?
A. Not for now.
Q. I have mmi 3gp , version p0XXX can i go straight to k0900?
A. Yes.
Q. Have found the activation script and it includes "2380_00040009.fsc". This should be changed according to manual Page 31 to the MAC address specifically to my MMI or should I continue to use the "2380_00040009.fsc" as stated in the manual page 18.
A. Leave the filename as it is now.
Q. The 2380_00040009.fsc file contains a VIN number. Should that be changed to my VIN number?
A. No, do not attempt the edit the fsc file.
Q. Will my VIN be visible and correct in the MMI
A. Yes.
Q. Only thing is that my Google Maps option is greyed out... any hints?
A. Reinstall the GEMMI_nav component from the K0900.
Q. 01043 - Control Module; Incorrect Software Version - How can i solve this ?
A. Restart the MMI and remove the key from ignition then put it back in. The error should change from 01043 - Control Module; Incorrect Software Version to 03276 - Please Check Software Version Management.
Q. What does the new firmware bring in terms of added functionality?
A. Not much, apart from K0770/K0767 fixing the issues with the SIM data connection and Bluetooth usage at the same time.
Q. What are 03276 and 03175, will they affect the MMI in anyway and how can they be avoided?
A. 03276 - Please Check Software Version Management will appear every time when the software is updated w/o VAS connection to the VW/Audi servers.
03175 - Invalid Data Set will appear when updating the map w/o deleting it first. Sometimes this helps to avoid that error.
They will not affect the functionality or the sound characteristics of the MMI.
Q. Is there a way to use used defined mode w/o "Green Menu"?
A. Yes. In file metainfo2.txt in the root folder if you remove the line "MetafileChecksum=XXXXXX" and add
EnableUserDefinedSWDLMode = "true"
skipMetaCRC = "true"
the you will be able to use the user mode w/o the green menu.

Possibly you're confused about the different versions?
0) Audi don't publish changes, so we don't know what the differences are between your current P0662, K0900 and K0942. [P versions are installed in the car at factory; updates are always K versions].
1)The 'stock firmware' is the standard firmware update for all the car's devices from Audi, which may include updates for the optional Bose and B&O amplifier firmware. The 'modified firmware' is the 'stock' version with the Bose and B&O updates removed, because it is thought that they may disable the amps [and need dealer to fix]. For safety, downlosd and install the 'Modified' version. [I'm surprised that you can't tell if you have Bose or B&O amp].
2) I don't know why the K0900 firmware is listed; the K0942 firmware is newer than the K0900 one and includes all the K0900 changes as firmware updates are cumulative. Install the K0942 one ...

Thank you for clear explanation about firmware type which help me a lot to understand the different now btw I had double checked my amp and found out it s Bose amp. so as you had recommend I will install the K0942 Modified firmware where I don't have any issue with my sound system.. if I face any issue will lets you know again thanks you for your great support in this matter. it give me confident to update my device ;-)

Hi all. I sourced all of the cards from a very well known Audi nav update person. Filled all instructions as listed starting with the firmware then maps and finally activation. All seemed to have gone well but I don't have any sound. Volume unavailable;DSP in sound settings no longer showing,bass,treble all set on min and unable to change. Fader/balance stuck in front left speaker and unable to move. Constantly loading media and devices. Can add Bluetooth, Sat nav works and I can copy CD to jukebox but no sound on anything. Contacted supplier who advised to try install of firmware again but go in to every folder and tick all boxes except bootloader boxes. Continued with install and it came up with ARU9440 no communication. Install continued without this but after install showed NOK in dab folder. Tried battery disconnection and unplugged dab tuner in left hand boot compartment but still no joy. Anything I could do to sort this would be appreciated. Ill upload screen pics of what went on.

maybe thats:
If the BOSE sound system is installed, deselect Bose components, at User-defined FW update there. (B&O is not affected!)
if you have the green menu GEM, then use again userdefine mode and load the files(if OK, non corupted) on the sd card (no micro card) and starting it again

Files were supplied on micro cards inserted in to sd adapters.
I don't know what system I gave. Nav on HD. Head unit with sd card slots. Mmi in glove box. Large speaker in middle of dash. Dab fm unit in left hand boot compartment. No bose anything on speakers. That's all I know

1) Not telling us what car you have [year / model]
2) Not telling us your starting point [MMI / Nav versions]
3) Putting the pictures in 'out of time order' and no time stamp on the Green Menu.
4) Telling us what you did, stage by stage [did this, saw this, tried this again, etc]
But, I can tell you that I think something strange is going on with your update SD content. Your screen shows us that at 13:58 your train version is "HN+_EU_AU3G_K0924_4"; by this time I think I deduce that you had already run an update.
BUT, that is a strange train version; HN+ indicates an A4 A5 Q5 Q7 update but K0924_4 is a Q3 A6 A7 A8 version of that update.
Also, the Green Menu [which we can't see fully] seems to imply optical bus issues and DSP comms problems.
A VCDS scan might help here.

BTW, your seller's advice to rerun excluding Bootloader implies he doesn't know what he's talking about!
Nav updates should never have / need Bootloader updates, but MMI updates can update the device Bootloader and you wouldn't want to 'half update' a device by updating the app and not the matching Bootloader!
