Hey guys. Yesterday I upgraded to K 0942 successfully. I am trying to upgrade my maps with the 2021 files attached to this topic and when extracting the files to my SD card I get a password error. Even though, I tried to upgrade maps with the resulting files and I wasnt able to. Any help here please?

I would download the files again.
than extract them again, and do not proceed, until you can extract them without ant errors.

I have just updated my Audi A4 B8 2014 MMI 3G+ (no Bose or B&O audio) from factory install HN+_EU_AUG_P0782 to K0942 and NAV database 8R0060884BT ECE 6.19.3 to 8R0060884HQ ECE 6.32.1. Successfully activated with the Vlasoff 6.22.4 activator. The firmware was the modified version and used the standard option for installation without erasing old maps. Did not activate the green menu (yet) because no need for it at the moment. Everything went smoothly and everything is functional. I have checked all the menus. The handbook does not work.
Do not have VAG//VCD to check for errors but really do not care since everything works fine. I have used Sandisk Extreme 32 SDHC for the maps and SanDisk Ultra 16 for the FW (no micro SD).

Hello all, I am new to this forum just got a used A4 2011 (prefacelift) with updated firmware and maps.
The unit states it has hnav_eu_k0206_3_d1 ece 5.12.5
Just want to check the order of updates needed to update firmware to latest version and to confirm if this map is the correct one for my model.
I have downloaded the firmware packages from Adrian E (B8 firmware package to 0257_6) from: MMI 3G navigation 6.24.2 Europe and firmware updates -...
Do i need to first update to 0253 then to 0257_6 ?
As for the maps i have downloaded Audi HNav Map 2021 6.32.1 8R0060884HQ (from the first page of this tread)
Do i need to remove LIT3GP (i have already prepared the SD card and the whole package fits without a problem on the 32GB card)
Is this map adequate for my MMI 3G high and do i need to use any activator for it.
Also i do not have VCDS but i could borrow it during the week if I have to do any work on it.
FYI
No special sound system is installed i think (dvd in front, changer in glovebox) but i have a subwoofer on the rear shelf dont know if that makes a difference

Need some help... I think I messed my maps...

And yes! I have searched this and other foruns for solutions but what I found did not solve the problem...


I own a VW GOLF that went for some fixing and got an AUDI A4 TDI (2011) to use for about 1 month.

As I travel a lot and the maps were very old (6.20.4) I wanted to upgrade just the maps, not the FIRMWARE as I saw a post where a user asked if it was necessary to also update the firmware and the answer was NO.

I downloaded the maps and activator from post #1, prepared 2 SD's (FAT32) and copied the ACTIVATOR to one SD and the MAPS to another.

Here I think I must have switched the SD's and ended up instaling the activator BEFORE the new map version...

Now I can't install the new maps and the old ones don't work either as I have a "THE NAVIGATION DATA IS BLOCKED" error after a couple of minutes use.

Just need to UNINSTALL the ACTIVATOR and have old maps working again as I have to return the A4 meanwhile...
(a quick look at the activator install script shows that a backup is done for a future uninstall so probably there is a script to do just that?)

I found one uninstaller (Keldo) but it did nothing, probably not the correct one for this activator.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE #1 - Made some code and I think I reverted part of the activator...
I was able to recover the original mmelauncher.cfg to its right place (/etc) and deleted mme-becker.sh from /sbin (I had no backup for this file!).
After reboot the Jukebox is working fine once more but navigation still with "THE NAVIGATION DATA IS BLOCKED" error.

I have the Activation Code, Activation Number and PIN for these maps (6.20.4 - 2015). Anyway to activate it using an SD card?

Or an activator for this version?



UPDATE #2 - Today I downloaded the files below and installed just the map. Firmware is still the same.

6.32.1 2021 MMI 3G High/Plus Europe [Link on Mega (use 7z/7zip to open the files)] Password: 8R0051884HQ

All ok but can't activate the maps (NAVIGATION DATA IS BLOCKED).

Wrong activator? Do I need to install the latest firmware (HNav_EU_K0257_6_D1) for the activator to work?

MMI High. latest firmware

Hi. stupid of me. i deleted partition. everything. My old maps was already activated. i could have use the update the maps only.
The installation worked fine of the maps.
After i wanted to activate the maps. it says map activated with the activation tool. But when i use the navigation, after 30 seconds the navigation says that its not activated.
i tried to use the tool again and the program says that its already activated. navigation is not working now
Can someone help me.

Hello I was searching for answers but didn't find them. Maybe I am missing something.
First of all, I am new here. I own Audi Q5 2017/18. It comes with preparation for navigation that needs to be activated but due now I haven't needed it, but I am planning to activate it in the near future.
But now, first of all I would like to update of the MMI software to the latest version because like I have been told that with the current version of my MMI there are available for download only maps from 2016 and l would like newer ones.
Here are my MMI information: Software version : 0771 Media driver : 1.2.0 Telephone driver: 2121

In advance, sorry that I have posted in this thread, but I found it most appropriate for the latest firmware updates.

Hi I just bought the A5 2017 Coup that has same version as your software. My dealer says you can only replace the whole MMI system as tehre are no upgrades. Did you come right ? Regards Bruce

Having an issue downloading the maps from the torrent link now too. Have tried two different downloaders and both have stopped at 50%. Uploading is still running but will not downloading anymore. Any help/advice please?

Today I bought a 2012 Audi A1 S-line and noticed that I can't connect to my phone via bluetooth.
I tried several mobile phones, reset the radio and still the bluetooth does not find any device.
Any tips? Do you think I should update to this version that this post for download? Thanks

I have my Audi license for it, but if I check it I get an error that the query cannot be processed and I cannot activate it either.

I also get an error on the map. And as per the above screenshot I only get TMC and not online in the bottom left.

Yes my SIM in the car has data available, the in car WiFi works fine, as did Google Earth till a couple of weeks ago when it was turned off again by Google.

Thought I would update firmware to start with. Enabled user defined mode in green menu. Went to engineering menu, update and looked for b and o or Bose but could not find either.

Please could you advise how to not update a B&O system?

As far as I'm aware, the modified firmware package is set up to avoid all you mention.

Just upgraded the firmware. Took less than 30 mins. Manual states between 40 and 90 mins.

Everything seems to work though.

Hi, I have a 2016 Q5 that is enroute from Japan. I know from Erwin that it has a 3G High MMI. I only want to upgrade the firmware from Japan to (preferably) Australia/NZ or Europe. I know it is not possible to change the maps as it is a Japan only nav. I intend to fit a carplay adapter for navigation etc. I have read Congo's manual and I think I get it, but I would appreciate clarification on these points:
1/Download and install HN+R_EU_AU_K0942 Modified firmware - Green Menu enabled / User Defined Mode / No Sound systems . Is this the right firmware?
2/ Will I need to make any changes in the User Defined...or is the B&O already deleted. I have B&O audio.

 

Am new to this too as I only updated in the last few days. All I can tell you is that.. The modified firmware had the necessary settings removed so I did not manually have to disable update of sound system, green menu and engineering mode so ready sorted to, so all I needed to was update.

Hi, hopefully someone can help me please. I last updated my maps in 2019 (via this site) and now trying to do it again.

When I came to updating the firmware (using HN+_EU_AU3G_K_0942 , car is a B8 S5) I get error message: "A variant conflict occurred! Main unit variant: 9307. Release info variant: 9498"

From the engineering menu i have:
Train Version: K0257
MU Software: 0187
EB Label: AU_MMI3G_11320P (when I google that, it confirms I have 3G high with HDD)

When I check the thread for MMI 3G basic it lists firmware 8R0 906 961 DK – BNav_EU_K0257_2_D which contains K0257, but that is obviously for the basic nav. So no idea why I have train version K0257.

I 100% have the HNav (3G high with hard drive) so now I'm confused as to what firmware I need?

So, with the help of this forum I managed to complete the update, however it gives this error code at the end. Any ideas what it may mean?

The software has definitely been updated, as version shows as 8R0 060 884 HQ ECE 6.32.1
