Hi Congo, thanks for posting this stuff. Unfortunately, this map file appears to be missing several folders and won't install properly on my S4. The installer is looking for:
LIT_NAR
LIT2_NAR
LIT3_NAR
LIT4_NAR

But, the only folder present in the downloaded map pack is LIT4_NAR, and the update fails. Do you have a functional map pack for 3G High?

The map is for 3G+ only, thats why is only in this topic and not in the one for 3G high.
I dont have other, if i find be sure i will post it here.

No, not yet. I actually haven't had any luck finding any functional map packs for 3G High yet. I found another thread on a different forum where someone had posted the 6.16 NAR maps for 3G High, but they're missing the two MMI3G and MMI3GP folders in the root that are supposed to have metainfo.txt in them. I'm getting close to biting the bullet and just buying a map pack for a hundred bucks, and if I do, I'll be sure to share it.

I made the mistake of deleting the factory map pack off of my '11 S4 before updating it, and then haven't been able to find any functional map pack so I've been NAV-less. Which isn't really a big deal since I installed an RSNAV and use CarPlay for navigation, but the broken factory NAV just bothers me on principle.

The MMI3GP came out in '12 or '13, so yes, the map pack for the MMI3GP should work for your '14. I installed it on my GF's '15 A4.

Which maps were you able to install? Once I get to the activation point, I'll be able to offer my input, but right now I'm just trying to find a map pack that isn't missing pieces.

@YocaHD it looks like the activator hasn't been run or did not work. It creates file /mnt/efs-system/sbin/mme-becker.sh and edits file /mnt/efs-system/etc/mmelauncher.cfg.
The output line cp: Can't open source file. (/mnt/efs-system/sbin/mme-becker.sh) shows that the file needed doesn't exist on your system ...

In regards to the flash drive. Yes, I have gotten myself an adapter from AMI to USB and a 64gB flash drive formatted in exFAT.

FYI, the maps were extracted using the required password. There shouldn't be any problems there.

if I remember well the software HN+R_EU_AU_K0942_4 (its a K version means customer update, so was updated, P are from factory production) are from 2016 , last are on 1. page here HN+R_EU_AU_K1001 the maps are 8R0060884FK ECE 6.27.2 so from 2018/19

S = Service Update I K = Customer Update I P = Production I E = Engeneering

so actual maps are 6.35.1 2022/2023 MMI 3G High/Plus Europe [Link on Mega (use 7z/7zip to open the files)] + if needed Activator [Link on cloud.mail.ru || Link on Mega]

So step by step. read the 1st. page all written
1. if needed first FW on the SD card. then install. When install finished. Take out the SD card. Plug into PC.
2. Erase SD card. drop maps on it. Plug into MMI and install. Then activate if needed

If you have a 2013 A8 with K0942 MMI and 2018 maps, you've obviously already updated them both from the version that came with your car.
I updated my A8 from K0942 to K1001 recently and didn't see any difference; it's probably not worth doing it.
And do you really need a map update? If the roads you use haven't changed, it may not be worth the effort.
However, if you decide to go ahead anyway, use the latest 6.35.1 download as descrbed by @alex-07 ...

I'm having a weird error updating my map.

I initially failed my map update by not keep retrying through a certain known error and selected skip. I never ended up with the map on my MMI. Fair enough, I thought I'd retry.

Now when I am retrying after deleting the database and NAV HDD partition, I do not have a "AUDI_MMI3G_ECE" Y in the red engineering menu. I have an N or on one occation a "?". NaviPersistance, MapStyles, and TMCConfig still produce a Y.

Could the error be with my sd card? Or does it lie elsewhere.
I am on HN+_EU_AU3G_K_0942.

@mubmoh It’s never a good idea to delete the maps and partition as it is a waste of effort and time (the map update deletes the original files as part of the logic). You spend extra time building the partition and copying files that you didn’t need to - nav updates don’t replace all the nav files on the nav partition!
However, as a result of deleting, you now need to run in User mode so that you can select all the non-bootloader files manually.

Just wanted to say thanks to all the people investing their time to keep this topic alive and up to date. I managed to get my firmware updated to the newest version (Audi A4 B8.5 - 2012, very old firmware) without any issues, didn't have user mode as an option, didn't activate green mode. Honestly I feel a bit intimidated by all the fuss with maps update, some say activator doesnt work etc. My next step will definitely be maps update but I need to be sure that everything goes without issues. Did anyone update 3g+ from very old version to newest without issues here? I would like to prepare sd cards for this but need recommendations. Deleted LIT and CTY, using Kingston 32GB sd card. P.S. discoverd that if the card comes formatted to FAT32 you dont need to format it again on your PC.
