The B9 platform uses MIB II MMI, which uses different hardware/software from the older MMI3GP system. You should be able to see this from the MMI version information (MENU > MMI Setup > Version information).Guys, any idea which MMI firmware / version is in A4 B9 2018? Can you link right thread? I couldn't find it / thanks
'Y' means all of AUDI_MMI_3G_EE will be updated; 'N' means no update is needed, and 'N/A' means no update is available on the SD card. You should be OK to proceed and start the update.Hello Guys,
I am trying to update the maps to 6.33.1, in my dashboard only show AUDI_MMI_3G_EE enable with Y, all the another options is N or N/A, is it correct? Is necessary to enable these other options?
NaviPersistence, MapStyles, TMCConfig... or is only necessary to enable the AUDI_MMI_3G_EE?
When you start the software update and it tells you 'Y' for AUDI_MMI_3G_EE, that means all of it will be updated; if it tells you 'N', that means no update is needed (that is, the update version is the same as the installed version); and the "N/A" means the update does not apply to the named device/package. If, however, you see '?' for AUDI_MMI_3G_EE, you'll need to restart the update as "User defined" type.hummm... but I need updated all the another options ? or only AUDI_MMI_3G_EE ?
Following your guide I was trying to clear 03623 fault code without luck. Just wonder what 'Clear error memory' on Fig.C.5 has been designed for and what if I select it?
GEMMI is the package that implements Google Earth (GE) map view (with image overlays). The last release of this was in 2016 or so, and was working correctly for most MMI3GP users until last December (2020). GE started working again for many MMI3GP systems, including ours, in March (2021). You would only need to (re)install it if you used the Green Engineering Menu to delete the navigation partition on on the MMI hard disk prior to updating the navigation database.Guys I see Gemmi in the updates and I always wondered if anybody have checked it for updating and what was the result?
The Green Engineering Menu seems to work some times for me, and not others. I don't know why that is. An MMI SD card script is supposed to clear fault code 03623, but I haven't used it yet, since this fault code is more of a nuisance than a real problem. Re the "Clear error memory" selection in the Green Engineering Menu (GEM), I have not seen this described or documented anywhere (and I try to be careful about messing around too much in the GEM). --gFollowing your guide I was trying to clear 03623 fault code without luck.
