1. Can I change the region from US to ER and what is needed for this?
2. Do I need to update my MHS2_US_AU_P1242 MU software: 0160 ?
3. If you want to update, do you just need to put the new firmware on the SD card and do the update through the red menu?

Hi guys, would you be so kind to guide me thru the process.
I am currently using very old maps in my car 2015/2016 and i would really like to perform an update to the most recent 2022/2023.
So, in order to do this, do i have to update the software too, or just the activator installation is enough + maps on the SD card ?
My current software version is probably the first one ever release 🫣

its on you, my recommentation are:
1. update to MHS2_ER_AU_P1242
2. run congo activator v2.5
3. update maps 2022/23

you can also only run activator (5min.) and use the last maps, this will work also good

Hi everyone, new owner of Audi A5 Sportback 2018 here. Looks like my car did not have Navigation in the package since it displayed "Navigation system not activated" or something like that. So i searched through internet and found this forum with Congo activator and latest maps. I successfully patched my unit, but when i copied the map data on the SDcard, loading stops @24% with the message "the navigation data is invalid". Do i need to have an original SD card? I used a plain Verbatim 32GB SDcard.... Thank you

All you need is a 32GB FAT32 SD card, unzip the contents onto the blank SD card and insert it into the mmi's SD1 slot.

1. maybe the download was corrupted, so do it again, or you used a mac pc for it, that also causes problems, only use windows pc for it
2. Do not use Micro SD card with adapter
3. which current software is running in mmi MHS2_xx_xx_Xxxxx
4. what says the log.txt file on congo activator you have used

2. Don't have full size SD card currently, could it really be an issue?

thats the way buy a good sd 32 gb or 64gb for the future, the maps are every year bigger, I use only Extreme 32 or 64GB

1. Access code: S12345
2. Go to Customization [10]
3. Select IDE02122 developer test mode ==> GEM(Green Eng. Menu)
4. Set it to active
5. Restart MMI UNIT → Press the ON/OFF button for 30 seconds

I think the cango activator will not work for my car because i have 1 usb port only charge, i think the cango activator is for two usb ports unit

has nothing to do with usb ports! usb port are only for carplay/Android Auto function!

Thats correct your undestanding i right, today i learned that for the activator to work correctly the memory card should be SD card and not micro SD card

hi,
1. if your actual software are working without bugs, stay with it! because if you update to P2035 you can not use if you later like to have it Google Earth!

2. run only on a sd card with FAT32(not micro sd cards!) the congo activator(unpack content to the empty sd card) then you have lifetime maps and maybe some other function on your mmi
this depends on the today FEC you have before installing congo activator and after it you normally has some more FEC!!!

3. if you like to use google earth then read it here how it goes with congo help see here Google Earth ==> #1

later/anytime you can allways update to P2035(but no way back!!), but you need then again installing the congo activator, because the FEC´s they bring are then no longer valid, the original remains active allways.
