What size sub amps are people running in their A5's ? I own a 2013 A5 and am in the process of adding some subs. I want to use a good sized amp, just not sure where I should stop with the stock alternator and electrical.

Is there anyone running a 1000 - 1200 RMS amp with no problems? (no headlight dimming, etc?) or is that too much?

Thanks in advance. Trying to make some purchasing decisions.

I run on 10" NVX sub with Alpine D-Class amp on 500RMS installed in a stock space in shelf. For 1-1.2K RMS you will be fine with the stock alternator, but you would certainly need to throw some money towards decent capacitor – something between 2-4 FARAD will do the job.
