Do they have an actual allocation for your A5 6SP? The allocations are broken down by manual and automatic, not just by A5 or S5 or whatever. That could be the issue - I ordered a 6SP S5 in April, and it's on a boat already, but that was because they had an immediate 6SP allocation available.
No allocation. I am the only one at the dealership interested in an Audi A5 Manual since I placed the order in August of 2007. WTF!
They told me Audi expected more allocations for manual A5's July 15th

That would be great news! I've been waiting for a manual allocation for the past few months as well. It really ruins your day when the dealer calls and says they have received allocations, but for automatic transmissions only.

Happy waiting.
since i placed my order in august of 2007... my dealership has yet to get an allocation for a manual shift a5... what is with this? (it says above april, but thats why my dealership put the car into the system) I have had first dibs on the audi since august of 2007..

That's really odd... especially given the fact that manual A5s were released in the US before automatics. Is this like some really, really tiny Audi dealership or something? About how long have they been around?
They take care of the Syracuse NY (Central NY) Region. Perhaps all the cars are being allocated to NYC and New Jersey where people have more $ Its a smaller dealership with 15 other dealerships in one big auto mall. They do have 4 sales reps. They said they would start talking with the district to get me a car.

Yeah, they need to do something! I think it's quite ridiculous that they haven't yet been allocated a single manual A5 in all this time.
Audi was like... oh wait. i can sell manuals to europe for so much more money than the states... (which is true) But if they want to grab a market in the USA, they need to at least have cars available.

Lewy, I bought my S5 from the Syracuse dealer. I made my deal in February 08 on a car they ordered for stock in July of 07. When I first spoke with them they seemed to be upset that they had no hard orders ANY 5 series. I jumped on ordering mine after seeing online that they were hard to get.

I even test drove a 6sp Aruba A5 in Syracuse. Being that I had test driven an S5 in Florida, once I had driven the S5 it was all over.

I do remember that the A5 6sp was a demo that they weren't supposed to sell immediately, but did end up selling to someone in Cazenovia.

I can see that you are upset, but the dealer seems to have a base that likes autos over manuals. That being the case their allotments are used up with tips rather than manuals.

I do wish you luck.
From what they told me they have no control over if they get allotments for Manual over Automatic. They are calling the region manager to complain. They have plenty of orders now. At least I am first line line for a 6sp
Good News, Getting an Allocation for delivery in October :)
Great! It's about freakin' time! Geez!

Congrats!!! I'm about 2 ~ 3 weeks away from getting my car, and it's killing me! :)
