Hi all,

Its at the age and mileage now that a clutch will shortly be due, So instead of waiting for it to go in the next 5k or more I will be looking to change it

Which clutch kit is recommended? is it LUK or Sach? or some other clutch..

As the clutch is yet to go, Should I change the flywheel too. Along with master cylinder and bearing etc etc

Any advice is great along with links to the product. I am UK based if that matters

regards

Thanks for the help,

I like to buy all my own parts then have them fitted at an Indy, That way I know 100% what is going into the car!

Can anyone else confirm if the LUK one is the original? or a good uprated one

Also in regards to the LUX kit I have found this :
AUDI S5 4.2 quattro LuK 3 Piece Clutch Kit + Bearing 354 06/2007- Coupe CAUA | eBay

It says "Direct OE Replacement" does that mean it is a genuine like for like replacement.. or a copy? seems too cheap to be a legit one

Did a quick lookup on the post code and C.E.S comes up. Thats a big Factor with 20+ branches so should be ok nd they have good feedback on Ebay too..

They advertise it as LUK so it should be.

I think they mean it's of OE standard.
They probably don't know if it's the same as OE or not, But LUK invented the dual mass flywheel type clutch and seem to be in most things OE so i don't think its a copy as such, if you mean inferior.
