Hi,

I just got my 20" wheels now I want to lower the car. So I went to this place and they recommended that I buy coilovers and this thing costs $ 1,000+. I'm just wondering if it's possible to lower my car's height w/o buying this, I have a 2008 non S-Line A5. Please Help!

Thanks,

You can save a lot of money by going with 1" lowering springs by H&R. MadAudi is selling them for $284. Another source is Pure Motorsport.

Back when I owned a non S-line A5, I installed these on the car and loved them. On the A5, the H&R 1" Sport springs provide a very comfortable ride, IMO. (See my comments in this thread.)

You can get Eibach springs for as low as $250... it's going to be a matter of opinion as to whether Eibach or H&R are "better", I've been very happy with mine.
