Attending Essen Motorshow this weekend I found the Hella stand where they were showing their new LED fog lights. Comes with custom made grillsurrounding fit for the car. They didn't have these for many models yet, but when I talked to a representative he said that thet were planning A4 and A5 in january/february 2009.

As cool as these may look, LEDs were never meant to illuminate the road. They may appear visibly bright, but the amount of light they are capable of project onto what's ahead of u is a completely different story.

Doesnt the R8 have an all LED headlight option? Do you have any idea how it works cause I would agree that LED's arnt good as headlights

Lexus LS600h comes optional with all LED headlamps. Not sure what the technology is behind it, but they look like pretty massive golf-ball sized LEDs. The xenon projector you see in the bottom corner is actually only used for high-beam.

I tried these on an Audi A4 I had a couple of years ago. They gave a nice looking color to the light, but wasn't bright enough. I chosed to use them anyways as I don't see the purpose of having "functional" fog lights. They are for show/display only. I reckon these would match the color of the A5 DRL nicely.

Are you talking about the H11-based LED cluster, or the Hella assembly? Either way, I don't think anyone in this particular thread is concerned with actual fog-defeating light; just aesthetics.
