This is the most beautiful S5 i have seen till too date.

KW Variant 3 Inox-line, 25-50mm front/rear drop option.
Also BBS CK's 9.5x20" (Bright Silver Paint) possible tyres options 255-265-275/30R20".
I like these wheels a lot but prefer them in Anthracite paint though.

hi,
i had some bbs 19 " bright silver just like these on my last car,(a4 3.0 qut sport, standard wheel size was 17"), they made the car sit like an rs4 and as it was black so the bright silver wheels really stood out when they were washed,
however a nightmare to clean and i think that multispoke is a bit dated now, also i think the standard s5 wheel spokes suit it more than these...
what worrys me about moving up in wheel size is the tyre problems, with my
a4 i was always having to replace tyres when they hadnt even gone through half of the tread, what kept happening was bulges on the inner tyre walls which would cause vibrating when driving then eventually blow out....my tyre man said it was because they were 35 series profile and on u.k roads with potholes and speed bumps the tyres couldnt cope ,although at the end i found out that i could have fitted extra sort of load bearing tyres.. i always fitted continental sport contact 2 ....i think i might stick with the 19" on my s5 and alter the cars stance by lowering and fitting wheel spacers...

Colli... IMHO - 20s look too big for this car... plus, as you say you need to move to 25 profile tyres, which will destry ride quality and cause the problems you describe... the wheel already fills the arch well, but lowering and spacers will make it look more sporty and lower the CofG... hence why I'm off to have that done next week.

plus, as you say you need to move to 25 profile tyres,
If you use 255, 265, 275 tyres you need 30 series tyres, 285 and up you need 25 series tyres.
Base A5 tyre diameter is ±662mm, 255/30= ±661, 265/30= ±668mm, 275/30= ±675mm, 285/25= ±651mm and 305/25= ±661mm.
Every thing within 3% (bigger/smaller) is ok.

OK I hadn't done the math, but you have one half inch (12.5mm) less tyre wall between the rim and the road (which is only 89mm anyhow) i.e 14% less wall. This is going to start to rattle your fillings.

20's that have some lip to them don't look nearly as large as 20's without a lip. The reason for this is because the deep inset of a lip wheel gives the wheel more depth which actually makes it look smaller than it is. When you look at pics with 20's that don't have a lip, they actually look alot bigger and out of place.

I went with 265/30 series tires which have 1/4 of an inch less sidewall and are only minimally different in overall diameter.

Sizzle, what's the width of your wheels?

House, don't feel bad ... I wasn't prepared for this math test either. ;)

They are 10" front and back, but I got more aggressive offsets in the rear so it will still look staggered. My rear lip will be 4" and my front will be about 3".

And instead of doing the math, let this wheel size calculator do the math for you....
