I was looking over an R8 over the weekend and one thing that jumped out was the LED DRL's. On an R8, there are no diffused lenses like the A5. So I was just daydreaming if it's possible to remove the diffused lens so the LED DRL's can illuminate, "commando" style :D ... anyone?

Don't think that's possible. It has been reported by several forum members that the entire headlight assembly must be replaced when an individual diode burns out. Also, early attempts were made by US spec A5/S5 owners to try and remove the amber reflector. But, the consensus was that it's a very well-sealed headlight assembly (i.e., tough glue) that cannot be taken apart without breaking it.

Thanks. I can believe that; you really don't want any kind of moisutre to enter into the housing. Just thought I'd ask.
