Has my A5 suspension been set lower for Sport or is this the standard suspension setting.

I've measured from the underside of the wheel arch to the road surface, which is 70cm.

Can anyone confirm if this is set correctly or not. I think it is but apparently there has been questions / discussion in the past about what the correct height is?

Can anyone help?

Cheers
Glenn
Cheers for posting this mate. Let's hope someone with a stock height non-Sport can measure theirs and put up the total so we can see.

PS. Anorack test. When was the Ford Cortina 1600E introduced in the UK and what was the list price (to the nearest ££)
1967 I believe. My father had a Lotus Cortina from around that era, which he gave to me when I was in my early teens so that I could learn how to work on cars. Gorgeous motor that was. I loved the way it looked just like any other car until you put your foot down! :)

No idea how much it cost though. About a grand?

Motor Show (October) 1967. It was £962. (I was 14!)

Supplementary Q. Where were 4 aux dials (Fuel, oil, temp etc) located at launch and when did they change postion?
Now that I can't answer, mine were in the middle of the dash but I couldn't tell you if they were 'before or after' the relocation. The car was a horrible shade of green with a black boot and bonnet.

God, this is dredging up memories I thought I had forgotten.

Original ones (1967 0n) over dash, later ones a year later were under dash level (1968 G reg on)

BTW If it was a Lotus Cortina they came out in 1963 and were ONLY White with Lotus Green stripe. The Mk 2 (post 1967) was NOT a Lotus Cortina. Marketed as a Ford Cortina Twin Cam and still in the main White!! (My friend has one). The 1558 cc Lotus 'twin cam' engine was ex Lotus Elan and by todays standards is pettty tame. In the 60's it was something else!!

I probably have the original road tests in my 'loft' collection.

Cheers

RG the Anorak!
It was an ex Police car and resprayed.
