Yep I have just had mine dipped in carbon. I had been putting it off for about 1 year because of having to take out the center console. Well worth it in the end. You dont have to fully remove the console, but you do need to remove the mounting bolts and trim to get it free. I just got the full console loose, lifted the front and undid the bolts from beneath. Bit awkward, but it was snowing outside so wasnt going through the bother of lifting out of the car. If your going to do it, do it properly, as you will just regret it if you dont. Best of luck.
