So I recently installed a new intercooler and piping. The stock intercooler was done and my turbo side tube popped off so I went ahead and just replaced everything and had the mass air flow code removed. Now what I'm getting to is how could i know for sure I won't have another pop off issue again I used the t clamps that were provided and tightened them as far as I could go. Is this the most I can do to secure everything or is there something else I could do to hold the tubing in place with the clamps ?

You could always put some locktite on the threads of the clamps to save them vibrating loose? Or double nut them.

It is very unlikely that the nuts on the clamps would have ever worked loose, unless you didn't tighten properly that is.
The old school trick is to spray the end of the pipe and inside the hoses with hairspray, while it is still wet slide on the hose and tighten the clamp.
Once that hairspray has set you will have serious trouble getting the two apart even if you ever wanted to.
I used to own some very uprated Imprezas running up to 2.0bar boost pressure (twice as much as our A5's) and those hoses never came off, you could even run boost pipes without rolled ends and they still wouldn't budge.
If you do ever want to remove them again, boiling water from a kettle poured over the joint will help loosen the joint.

I assume they are just normal silicone hoses?
There shouldn't be any issue if you use proper worm drive jubilee clips. I've got a mix of genuine Audi and branded jubilee clips and I run 2.2 bar of boost. No issues. Make sure you spray some WD-40 or the like on them (ElsaWin actually specifically states that, it goes against common sense as you'd think they'd slip when tightening)

He's actually using Mikalor style clamps which are far superior to "ordinary" style worm drive jubilee clamps.
Do agree about using WD40 or white grease on the worm drive though, it does allow you to tighten them more.

I appreciate everyone's advice it has helped a ton. I Tightened all the clamps properly and added medium locktite for insurance.Everything is solid and hasn't moved at all and the a5 is running perfect. As for the intercooler I installed the ecs intercooler. The car is more aggressive and the temp is way lower than before. Big difference from the OEM intercooler.
I once had a similar thing happen to me, I'd just fitted a upgraded intercooler drove down the road and the intake side of the intercooler popped off when i hit full boost - being a diesel, i have never seen so much black smoke come out a car in my life, it was like one of those big diesel trucks in America when they "roll coal". Damn, I was rolling coal alright.
Anyway it was as simple as i didnt tighten the clip up enough, i do remember reading once that there is actually a torque spec for clips on silicone hoses but cant remember what it is. Just tighten the clips up a little more and it'll be fine!
