I remember I saw a thread either here or AW about some member trying to install the S-Line Flat-Bottom steering wheel on the S5. Does anyone know what happened to that project? Any update?

I don't think these were the ones I saw. Anyways, members in these threads were saying they need to retro fit A8 airbag on the wheel. However, the wheel I might be able to get through a friend already has the original airbag on the wheel. Not sure if it's a direct bolt-on replacement without any coding or error message though.

As much as I want a flat bottomed steering wheel (and I really REALLY want one) I think there's something really "basic" looking about the wheel in your pic. Something about the centre just doesn't work for me, I understand that an AirBag needs to squeeze in there but there's too much design compromise IMHO.

Again, it really shits me that an S3 gets a flat bottomed wheel and not an S5, when the S5 is double the price! (In Australia)

Why would you want a flat bottomed wheel in an A5/S5.? No point... although if it's looks you are after the Old Austin Allegro had a Squared off wheel in the UK...

well that would be different!!
