That's just a breather pipe that goes to the vacuum pipes etc. You can still drive, it will be fine! The pipe just takes filtered air from the inlet. 
Just glue the elbow back on.
I have the 3.0T V6 and this small pipe just pulls out of the intake hose. You could just get a plastic elbow from your local car or home depot and glue it in. Not a detrimental part, but long term it is best the pipe takes filter air from the intake pipe. You'll be fine driving to the stor to get a little plastic elbow!
