The steering rack on my 2013 audi s5 has died and I have to replace it. My car has drive select and dynamic steering, Im looking for the rack online and I keep finding the one without dynamic steering. Is the dynamic steering built into the rack? or is it in my steering wheel. I cant seem to find the rack with dynamic steering, Im not sure if I can replace the rack and keep the dynamic steering.

no, needs to be a dynamic rack as well. Get the part number from the rack itself.. yellow sticker.. and check part no which no's can also be used as they supercede into different no's.

After further research . My car does not have dynamic steering , my mmi confirms it’s just regular steering even though I have drive select

You can also check what you have by turning steering wheel lock to lock with engine off, non dynamic rack is ~2.9 turns, dynamic ~2.4
