Help needed on rear suspension arm replacement.

Hey everyone,

Hope you're all well!

I just joined the Audi A5 community with a recent purchase of an Audi A5 2012 Sportback 2L petrol. Unfortunately, the car was involved in a side collision that bent the passenger rear side upper control arm.

I've been attempting to replace the part myself but have run into a problem while taking the top screw off. I've been able to loosen it but, there is no room for much more as it's in a tight area next to the fuel tank.

As the replacement parts are readily available, I thought it would be a relatively easy job but, I may have bitten off more than I can chew.

I was able to remove the bottom half through some tough love and the help of an angle grinder. So driving it anywhere may be difficult now.

I have attached some images to help, the circled screw is the one causing the trouble.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

You may have to lower/drop the subframe. There's a lot of stuff back there (differential, drive shaft, etc., etc.). If you don't have the appropriate supporting gear, I wouldn't risk it.
Does this help?
