Well, there was a story of 30000 Volkswagens getting damaged by such a storm in the recent days, but I don't know if that is related to your issue.
Help from our European friends...
Long story short...car arrived port on 4 Jun for loading on 16 Jun. Since then, the ETA has been pushed back 3x. Yesterday was the last day it was pushed to, so I called today and you guessed it, pushed back AGAIN. Here's the kicker, the new ETA was 1 Aug loading with delivery to dealer on 1 Sep!!!!! I was shocked it jumped over a month, so my dealer contacted the Audi rep to inquire and she related there was a major hail storm at the port and they were inspecting all vehicles to see which may have been damaged. Here's where I'm asking for help...has the weather been that nasty up there? Does this explanation sound legit?

There were some pretty nasty electrical storms in northern Germany last weekend.
Sounds legit...guess I'll stand by and wait for confirmation as to whether my A5 was among the damaged. Not good, not good at all. Thanks for all the info!
