So I went for my 5k oil change yest. I told the tech you can hear what sounds like a heat shield rattle coming from under the car. You only hear it
once the car is warmed up. He heard it thought the same thing.

Well I get a call yest. nope not the heat shield they think it maybe the
power steering pump or maybe the flywheel or something in the trans.

Now they have to wait for a Audi rep. to come out and see what it might be.

On a side note I had a rattle in the driver's door which was a loose speaker
wire. Which they fixed and was told rattles are only covered for 6mos. or
6k. WTF never heard that before.

Woah..we have heat shields!? I hadn't tried a re-entry yet. Check your tiles for rattles too

Very interesting (and not in a good way) about the 6 mo/6k "policy".

Had my car in 3 times for this already. It sounds like a nasty metal rattling noise, especially when taking turns at slow speeds with low torque.

They also found that the center console mounting arm was loose, as were the bolts for the drivers seat.

I had to get Audi of America involved the 3rd time around since the dealer was claiming there wasn't a problem and took the car for a 45 mile test drive and said they "couldn't hear it". After I got AOA involved and opened a case with them, they mysteriously found it and fixed it 2 days later.
