Just about to order A5 3.0 TDI Sline with SatNav but I'm unsure about the handsfree bluetooth connectivity to my phone – do I need to order any of the phone prep options. My dealer says it will connect and work handsfree without ordering any options but reading some of the threads on this site I'm now unsure. Can anyone clarify?

Thanks

Our Sept 2008 with Blutooth Low connects with our Nokias 6500, 6300 etc with no problems at all. I think it cost about £350 as an option. Numbers display through DIS and MMI SAt nav screen.

Not sure if 3G SatNav will be the same!

That's right there is an option called "Mobile telephone operation - low" for £375 but according to my local dealer phones will still connect via bluetooth and work handsfree without paying for this option. I am not convinced he knows what he's talking about. £375 seems a lot of money if it is just a cradle to charge your phone.

Thanks for your reply. Yes that's what I think - it amazes me how little the car dealers seem to know about their own products.

Glad we all agree!. It was £375, less now I think with VAT reduction + I reckon 10% off list = circa 330. BArgain in my opinion!

I thought maybe the new MMI 3G came with BT as standard?
