Hi, recently my 3.0tdi engine or exhaust has become slightly louder when on throttle. I now have a flashing glow plug on the dash!
Scanned with vcds and came up with fault code, dpf sensor.
Is it just a case of replacing sensor or will I have to adapt it with vcds.
Also the louder engine tone worries me.

Thanks.

If it's the dpf/atmospheric pressure sensor it needs adapting really, but if I recall theres a sequence you can do with the ignition key aswell as vcds and odis methods.

Yes, that's the one.

I had same on my A8 3.0.

Replace sensor, do basic setting, sorted.

I read of problems with aftermarket sensors so bought a used one off ebay. That was this time last year, not missed a beat since.

Good luck.

Hi, I cleared the fault code with vcds and I've since done 300 miles and it hasnt come back, I also checked the state of the dpf parameters. I can see the dpf must of done a regen as soot measurements are down but the time and distance since last regen are longer than before.

Hi, I didnt replace it in the end as I cleared the fault and it hasnt came back yet. Think my car is trying tibregen all the time though as the idle sits at around 700ish rpm instead of the usual 610rpm.
